The Extra Bar for Small Frames is for frame mounted Caress models that need a little extra lift. Bikes with smaller geometry or a top bar that drops down may need this extra bar for proper seat placement over the back tire. The extra bar lifts the seat approximately 4 inches and lengthens the seat placement by approximately 3 inches.

I ordered the extra bar with my initial purchase, and instead, I received a second regular size bar. I called and told them my issue, and I got an email that a replacement order had been placed within 2 min of the call end.
Needles to say, I LOVE this seat and the extra bar. I did a lot of research, and I will say that this is all worth the expense!
