1. Frame Mount

If your bike does not have a carrier rack, choose a Frame Mount bike seat.

Dual-bar steel with Bow and Lockable Bracket design fits most* bike frames 28-40mm. One of the smaller Lockable Bracket designs on the market, the Hamax design mounts on the bike frame without interfering with important components or your comfort. This frame-mount option offers easy installation, quick-release functionality and green safety indicators to ensure secure installation. Acquiring a second Lockable Bracket allows you to easily transfer the seat between bikes. This style is not compatible with most e-bikes or carbon frames. It may work with a bike fitted with a rack carrier, but it depends on the frame size and rack design (most people opt for the Rack Mount option).

2. Rack Mount

If your bike does have a carrier rack, choose a Rack Mount bike seat.

The Hamax with Carrier Adapter fits most* cargo/luggage rack carriers sized 120-180 mm with a minimum 55 lb capacity. Its innovative twist-closure design allows for tool-free installation and dismounting for transfer between rack carriers on different bikes. This style accommodates e-bikes, carbon, or non-standard frames with an installed rack carrier.
